Unsurprisingly warm & rich (warm vintage) and layered with quite some weight & substance and a dense, oily texture. Cutting through this, and beautifully balancing it all out, comes bright, mineral acidity. Ripe peach & apricot, baked lemons, a dollop of honey, a smoky note towards the finish.
This is quite complex and very good.... yet somehow misses the wow factor. — 5 years ago
Love this vintage fir Pechstein. Superb citrus. Grapefruit, tangelo, blood orange, lime blossom, superb vivid mineralIty. Vivid wet earth as well. Terrific. Palate is complex with intense 14 acid, a playful yet serious profile. Wonderful texture and intense lemony extract and acids on the mid and finish. But also a serene type zen texture. Clean and compact but lingers on the very long finish. Awesome inner mouth confectionary mineral aromas. Terrific. — 6 years ago
Slightly herbaceous. Great length. More mineral characters than the Goldbächel. — 7 years ago
The greatest nose perhaps of any wine I’ve ever had. — 3 years ago
Quite enjoyable. Breezy tropical flowers on the nose, with sweet/tangy fruit on the palate. Mouth-watering acidity, and a good balance overall. Blend of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Scheurebe. 3/4/23. — 3 years ago
Petrol and grass on the nose. Apples and pears on the palate. Very well rounded with medium body, good acid, and some earthy notes. — 7 years ago
Among the best whites from burklin-wolf — 7 years ago
A bit weighty but with enough juicy quality. Not incredibly exciting — 7 years ago
At 24 years of age this is youthful and vital with a rich ridge of stone fruit braced by range citrus acid and a lingering, slightly mineral finish. Delightful. — 3 years ago
Very prominent petroleum when cold and peaches when warmer especially on the aftertaste — 4 years ago
Interesting more savoury, herby style of riesling. Really nice. — 7 years ago

Dry and very classic tasting Riesling. Wet stone, lime, honeysuckle, green apple, green pear, flint, and the faintest hint of petrol. Clean with high acidity, medium alcohol, light body and a terrific compliment to food. I had it with tuna tartare and it was a knockout. Terrific value. — 3 years ago
