Tasty white wine made with Falanghina grapes from the Campania region. Makes for great sipping in the spring and summer. Pairs well with with a variety of foods including Asian, poultry and of course pasta. Drank June 2025 — 2 months ago
Deep, dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cocoa powder, spice, prune, cherry, oak and wine cave. On the palate, medium to full body, cherry, strawberry, leather, chocolate and a long finish dominated by chocolate notes. Still exhibiting strong tannins. $40 @ total wine — 6 months ago
Pear, some honeysuckle, or maybe its melon I'm picking up. Good acidity. — 3 years ago
Medium bodied Aglianico from the Campania region of Southern Italy. Very tasty and pairs well with Southern Italian food such as pasta. Strong taste of black cherry. Drank in May 2025. — 3 months ago
En Nariz a gomita de cemento! Redondo en boca , buen vino ! — 5 months ago
Honeysuckle, white peach, bright citrus (almost yuzu-esque), minerals, and more stone fruit to give it balance. Great value and intriguing. — 9 months ago
Very nice and crisp - but nothing that popped for me. I prefer reds so I’m biased. — 4 years ago

Donnachiara Taurasi 2020
Taurasi DOCG, Campania, Italy
A distinguished red crafted from 100% Aglianico, hand-harvested at peak ripeness. The grapes undergo a 15-day maceration on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation in French barriques. The wine then matures 12 months in barrique before an additional 24 months of bottle ageing prior to release.
Aromatics: Deep and intense, with layers of blackberry, plum, and cherry intertwined with notes of cacao and roasted coffee.
Palate: Bone-dry and full-bodied, framed by firm tannins. Warm, dry, and soft on entry, evolving into an elegant, well-structured mid-palate with notable persistence. Built for long-term cellaring yet already showing remarkable character.
Pairing: Outstanding with pasta in rich, full-bodied sauces, grilled steak, game meats, and long-aged cheeses.
