There is a lot of vodka in the world. It’s just vodka so what does it matter right? Well it does. This one is somewhat neutral but blends well and does not go weird or vanish altogether. New Amsterdam (from Gallo) vanishes. Grape vodkas go weird as heck. Potato vodkas are finicky. I would put this above Sveda and about equal with Finlandia. No need to pay twice as much for grey goose when it’s being mixed. — 6 years ago
Tried at their wine tasting then parents bought a bottle — 8 years ago
A very powerful, almost muscular pinot, still needing a lot of bottle time to show its true potential. Savoury in nature. There is an initial taste of sour cherries along with a hint of raspberry and dried date, from there the palate is strongly savoury in nature. Forest floor, roast meat (pork?), cigar box, clove and wet clay all vying for attention. The tannins are very fine, but still a little chewy, especially on the sides of the tongue. The oak still quite evident. The balance seems good, and those savoury flavours linger seemingly forever. A deeply intriguing wine. It’s not the most accessible of wines, but I like it (a lot). Should be an absolute stunner in 5-10 years. — 9 years ago

This was good. It wasn’t earth shattering like the way the cashier made it sound, but it was decent — 7 years ago
The first thing you notice is the orange rim. The smell of violets is over powering in he glass. Tobacco, tar, leather are prominent and the tannins are still firm. A wonderful wine with a long finish. After many Langhe and Nebbiolo d'alba wines it's nice to get back to Nebbiolo at its pinnacle. — 8 years ago
Fantastic to find and drink from a 2014. Opens with smooth tannins and scents of oak and black currant. Fantastic with 2 hour decant. Venge is an amazing winery the continues to produce delectable wines year after year. The Bone Ash has to be the pinnacle of their Cabs, strong and beautiful Napa Cabernet. Cannot wait to see this wine in 5 and 10 years. — 8 years ago
Reddish violet black color with an auburn edge. Nose smells of baked ripe black cherries, creme brûlée, blackened toasted marshmallow. Richly layered and balanced with more baked cherries, burnt sugar, charred plum and slight mocha on the tongue. Mellow and oh so smooth. It's character slowly reveals itself layer by layer, yet leaves a wondering at what exactly that particulate note may be. Truly a complex wine. Their newest vintage of Syrah doesn't even hold a candle compared to this 2012 vintage. — 9 years ago
I thought this was great. It had nice herbal flavors, some pepper, and good fruit. Would like to try again. — 6 years ago
Sweeter than I thought but not too sweet. Drank on its own and with a creamy chicken dinner. Would buy again. — 7 years ago
Had this many times before and as I always say: Dogliani is the absolute pinnacle of Dolcetto — 8 years ago
