Super young. Once the primary & quite expressive fruit blows off, this is actually quite nice. Still on the fruitier side, but there’s a savoury, earthy whiff to it. Airy cherries, baking spice, good depth.
On the palate this is still youthful LY chunky but there’s good balance, good depth. This is surprisingly high in alc (14.5%!!) and it’s noticeable.
Very curious how this will evolve.

Drinking well - earthy with a little funk — 7 years ago
Amiot burgundies are elegant and this one fits the bill. Drink cool. Cherry notes - bitter in a good way tannic, earl grey tea, chalky? Great stance oak well managed drinks like a premier cru. Much better then the 2011 I just checked my notes. If you have this one in your cellar consider yourself lucky but drink it now it is delicious. 🍷. — 8 years ago
Drinking lovely. Give it a little bit of time to open up. I liked it best when it reached red wine temperature. Cheers! — 9 months ago

A buttery mouthfeel supports a scent of nuts and flowers that gives way to a pallet of fine flowers, kernels, and minerals. Give time to open for best results. — 7 years ago
1986 vintage. Intoxicating perfume of crushed strawberries and sweet roses at the height of the bloom. Profound with layered fruit and velvety tannin, delicate and concentrated at the same time. Very long. An amazing effort for the vintage, that in Decanter is described as "a large crop of indifferent quality with poor concentration". Highly recommended. — a year ago
Comes out earthy and a touch funky, which fades with time open, leaving behind pure brambly berry fruit. Delicate, with good concentration and length. — 2 years ago
Rating will be drastically improved with significantly more aging! After four hours of air it seemed to finally show signs of opening up — 4 years ago
Crisp and refreshing, complex flavour and a pleasantly develops on the plate. — 6 years ago
Completely different from the first bottle I had of this vintage several months ago. Lots of oak and buttery Chardonnay. Still a bit of green apple, but not as pronounced as the first bottle. — 7 years ago
