17.5. Decanted. Still, even better second day. Big wine, on nose and palate. Great fruit, not showing much age 21 years on. — 5 years ago
Engaging with notes of cherry and olives. A bit simple with short finish but very accessible wine. Opened and poured after about 15 minutes of air — 6 years ago
For Thanksgiving dinner. Went very well with the turkey! Complex and round. Reconciled me with the DL wines. — 7 years ago
Definitely fruity but all around tasty and balanced. Like it more than the community reviews. — 8 years ago

From just opening, we can enjoy this fruity wine with raspberry, cherry. Enough acidity. Cherry, Licorice. A bit spicy. Rounded. Easy to drink. 2018 @580, Kping -, 211118-211122 — 4 years ago

Bought in 2001 by Florence & Dominique Decoster. Ch Fleur was promoted to "Saint-Emilion Grand cru classé" in 2006. I did a vertical ‘12, ‘13 & ‘14, check my notes on ‘14 for conclusion. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc and 5% Cab Sauvignon, deep red with big ripe fruit aromas and gentle notes of floral. Blue & Black berry flavors, great mouthfeel delivers nice balance on structured soft tannins that could benefit with more time, lingering finish ending with smoky mineral notes. Will cellar Nicely! — 8 years ago
See previous note which was my longest ever Delectable note. This wine has such an interesting story. Virtually unknown and surrounded by Right Bank royalty like Evangile, La Dominique and Petrus. Mainly Merlot with a small % of Cabernet Franc. Dark fruits with blackberry and a touch of vanilla. Only medium weight with soft fine tannins. Quite detuned. Cost $45 and drinks to its price point unlike the expensive wines produced by the neighbours. This tiny 0.4 hectare block’s grapes would normally be absorbed by one of the neighbours and end up in a much more expensive Cuvée. The previous Delectable note is incorrectly called Chateau Vieux Chantecaille but the lengthy description refers to this same wine. — 4 years ago

Nose has smokey dry earth, dry lavender, old licorice, dried black cherry, ripe black currant, dried blackberry and (light) dried oak.
Palate has silky dried blackberry, ripe plum, black currant jam, (light) dark chocolate, dried blueberry and light tannins. Mouth coating texture. Future bottles should be 2023+
50% Grenache & 50% Mourvédre
Paired with a bottom round beef roast, slow cooked 8+ hours with autumn root vegetables and the au jus from the roast, thickened with a little of my own tomato paste, delicious. — 6 years ago

A new vintage - beautiful CDP, balanced and elegant. We decanted, but again this wine is jumping right out. Very nice. — 4 years ago
