Good fruit, smooth tannins….this wine is drinking well and has some life left — 7 months ago
Selfridges feiyu - smoky, bubble gum / banana, typical Beaujolais wine, low sulphate, natural fermatation, works well chilled ( only works with low tanning wine) — 9 months ago
(It’s evening). Bright straw yellow. Pronounced nose. Blossom, peach, sweet yeastiness, gentle nuttiness, golden apples and pears, spicy chicken skin soup, sweet baking spices (vanilla, cinnamon). Deep and intense but round and broad, not piercing.
Dry, high acid, high alcohol, full, rounded body, hint of spritz, very saline, nice long finish. A bit austere. Couldn’t quite cope with brilllat savarin but great with the others.

Fruits had fallen but still very enjoyable (1994) — 9 years ago
Although 2013 and very very young consuming at a restaurant we got to enjoy it a lot more as the time passed and it was decanted. This will be a beauty - shame but still lovely! — 10 years ago
Popped and poured from a half bottle; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The “Oeil de Perdrix” is made in the saignée method and pours a pale copper/pink color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of strawberry, raspberry, pink pepper, lemon, and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A lovely expression of a Blanc de Noir Rosé from Bouzy. Disgorged April of 2023. — 4 months ago

Terrific. Deep golden in color. A sense of oxidation or maybe more like a sherry cask aroma. Dry. — 8 years ago

Wonderful expression of a French Chard — 5 months ago
This lovely rosé is starting to show some age - I’ve had the bottle at least six years so understandable that it has toasty pastry and brioche notes along with a hint of hazelnut, dried cherry and candied raspberries. Very appealing - clean, crisp and refreshing. Very much the PJ style of medium-bodied wine and a lovely color approaching tawny. — 8 months ago
Brilliant Nouveau! — 4 years ago
Ohhhhhh weeeee. Beaujolais w some complexity. It’s like they took the carbonic Mac out of the wine ❤️ — 6 years ago

Some of the best value CdR out there, sourcing fruit from around Southern Rhône!! Jean Louis Chave expertise at an entry-level price.
This was a young wine but 2022 was a good year: Extreme drought vintage resulted in lower yields and concentrated, freshly acidic wines. — 3 months ago
