Ruby in color with a ruby grapefruit edge. Red berry and Manhattan cherry aromas with floral and cedar notes. Bright acidity with fresh red fruit flavors. — 11 years ago
Nicely developed Bonnes Mares, there is still ample acidity and structure to carry this forward in the cellar. Red fruit punctuated by a high candy-like note along with black cherry, spice and herbs. Intensity is concentrated on the mid and fore palate, offering great structure and polish throughout. The finish is satisfyingly lengthy and spicy. — 10 years ago

1996 vintage. At Ryozanpaku in Kyoto, Japan. Medium garnet - slight bricking around the edge. Medium intensity of aromas, manure, earth, blackberry, violet creams and savoury spices. Fairly complex if slightly mature. On the palate, good fresh acidity, medium body and noticeable rounded tannins. The mid palate is flavoursome and impressive. The finish is slightly short. Probably won't benefit from further ageing. However, I suggest giving the wine 30 minutes of air before serving. — 8 years ago
