A new experience for us tonight. A 34 year old C-D-P to celebrate our 36 year anniversary. Beautiful old red/orange color from the glass. Dried fruit and herbs, licorice and wet flint on the nose. Flavors of dried red plums and cherries, licorice , herbs and some earthiness. Still showing a slight tannic backbone. A nice long finish. — 7 years ago

Deep reddish/purple color which has me on guard relative to Pinot. Worried that darker than lighter raspberry red has had Mega Red or other manipulation but this Pinot just has concentrated character. Varietal rose petal and cherry notes in aromas. You can see the broad influence from the 3 appellations that comprise the wine. Weighty on the palate without being too over bearing for the varietal. Great accompaniment to the saffron broth salmon this evening. — 11 years ago

2017 Marcel Lapierre Morgon in the House!
Did you know that Morgon is the second largest Cru (group of vineyards) in Beaujolais after Brouilly?
Yea anyway.... This Full Bodied Gamay was dope🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Deep Garnet, Red fruit on the nose like cherry or pomegranate.
I get plum, & nectarine/peach.
Nice finish !
I’d give it around 91 points.

Nose was ripe dark fruit, currant, spices, smoked oak or cedar. Velvet texture with nice dark fruit, licorice, pepper and smoke. Well rounded tannin at the end. Long finish. — 11 years ago
Our favorite Sauvignon blanc. Light with loads of citrus. Great with shrimp or veg with dip. Between $12 and $16 a bottle. — 12 years ago
Finally a night or weekend we weren’t working on our rental, rushing to get some Christmas shopping done or getting ready to entertain holiday guests. It’s a night for us to chill out. That’s a good thing. It is also our final night to enjoy all our Christmas candlelights before we pack up tomorrow. 😔
We didn’t even enjoy any of one our very favorite N/V Rosé Champagnes over the holidays.
Tastes really good tonight. Showing shades of carbonated Dreamsicle or Creamsicle. However, you remember them growing up. Rich, ripe, candied & lean; black cherries, strawberries, cherries and summertime leaner watermelon. Baguette, grey volcanics, sea spray and finely powdered, razor sharp chalkiness with candied, pink rose pedals. Perfect, crisp, lively acidity and long, rich, well polished & balanced finish with persistence.
Hope you all have had a great start to 2020! — 6 years ago
On the nose a whiff of TCA or medicinal herbal note?... but a very small amount. Through that there’s caramel, plum and leather, sour cherry. Intense fruit full of secondary notes with a dusty dried wood whiff. Interesting and delicious despite the slightly off nose. — 8 years ago
Such a beautifully expressive & high toned Langhe, if only other Langhe's could give back so much at a young age. — 9 years ago
Light and not too sweet or too dry. — 11 years ago
A little less exciting than I expected. Definitely opens with with air, but I did not experience the dense tastes some have described. Well balanced with soft tannins, but not much nose or finish. Maybe the 2001 is past its prime. — 11 years ago

Classic old school style of Las Cases that is fully mature showing red & black fruits, currant, cedar, leather, dried herbs & tobacco. Not the power or length of the 82 & 86 but very enjoyable. — 5 years ago
