First candle lit dinner with Remi. JB and Ali got her down while Ali artfully cut and ate her steak with one hand. Also, the grill caught on fire, but JB saved the steaks at the perfect level of char. The spinach was delicious, and the dirt that Ali left on it from the farmers market will help tremendously with digestion. — 5 years ago
A really lovely wine showing hints of eucalyptus, currants, wet dirt and moss. Over the course of a few hours the tannins calmed and the wine hit an elegant stride. I was surprised to see so much new oak which is my only criticism as it was a dominate feature through the entire bottle. Wish I had a more of this. — 6 years ago
Velvety smooth. Dirt on the nose. Vibrant earthiness. — 7 years ago
2014, Domaine Du Fresche, Anjou, Gamay. Juicy red fruit, a little lavender and some wet dirt. Good value Gamay. — 8 years ago
Just perfect. Light color, but lots of depth in flavor. Red berries and Central Otago dirt. Strong sense of terroir and place. Perfect balance. And so, so drinkable. — 5 years ago
Funky, smoke and dirt. Like strawberry BBQ. — 5 years ago
This was amazing. Prunes and. Vanilla. Cherries and dirt. Had with roast lamb. Beauty. Bought it at the chateau back in 2010 — 6 years ago
A mild earthy, sanguine note, that is masked by sweet, big red brambly fruit with slight floral notes. Medium acid, good tannins. Cranberry, red apple skins with dirt and tar finish. — 6 years ago
Well done, matured beautifully and still needs time. Deep dark red, nose full of coffee, tobacco, cherries, cassis, dirt and cigar box, full body, rich, ripe, firm rich fruity tannins, good acidity, long chewy finish and a lasting smoky note. My score 91, drink to 2023 — 7 years ago
Very nice Brunello even though it's from an unheralded vintage. Tasted like the dirt of Italy with some tobacco and cherry mixed in — 8 years ago
Dirt vernacular 2016!vintage. Great breakfast wine. Amazing taste. — 5 years ago
I love this wine! Probably my favorite for so many reasons! Barnyard, mud, cow shit, and French oak on the nose. Tobacco, smoke, tar, and dirt on the palate. If I had to nitpick, the finish could be longer. I now agree with something I read in a book today. Your favorite wine doesn't have to be the one with your highest rating! — 6 years ago
Extremely ripe, with dirt and spice on the finish. Delicious. Black cherry on the finish. — 6 years ago
With a little decanting the fruit really shines. Such dirt and grit and old world thickness and mouthfeel. But all those black fruits dedicated. With figs and bay leaf and tarragon. A meal in itself. Just lovely. — 8 years ago
This took a while to grow on me but when it did it popped. Well made, nice balance. Very Oregon-y. Light is the word of the day. Purty light purple in the glass with a really nice nose of pepper and red cherries. Ripe red fruits on the palate and then the dirt starts to kick in. Dirt, spice, and strawberries. The earthiness really makes this bottle. A light, spicy finish. — 8 years ago
A very nice end to the night. All mushrooms and dirt. Still singing with acid, with the tannin to back it all up. — 8 years ago

I ask for a sweet wine not from Jerez (Sherry) and she gives me a taste and says do you want a full glass? To this wine I say F*#& yes! Super acidity makes this drinkable as heck! Passion fruit, papaya, beeswax, honeysuckle and bitter orange notes on the nose and palate. Nice mouthfeel, with body yet super smooth. Paired with chocolate mousse and passion fruit ice cream, I am feeling extremely guilty and already planning my run for tomorrow morning! — 5 years ago
