Had to get it again to share. So good for how inexpensive it is — 7 years ago
One of these bottles came out to play tonight, and I dare say it gave a Kapcsandy 2003 and a Favia 2009 Cerro Sur a run for its money. Between this wine and the Favia, I'm not sure which one I really liked more. I think they were both WOTN for different reasons. This wine started out with a funk that was a little bit strange right out of the bottle. A little hay and mushroom that had to die off. For the first 30 minutes, the wine was a little muted with regard to fruit. Lots of glycerine on the palate, but increased as it sat in the decanter. The wine eventually had a nice aged and completely ripe blackberry note that was ever present from front to finish. An herbaceous quality crept in and out throughout the entire experience, and finished rather bold for its age. Very impressed with this bottle. I have quite a bit more of the 2001 that I think I'm MORE impressed with, but this one certainly showed well. — 8 years ago
A bold, robust first touch to the lips. This elegant number gets better with a breath of fresh air. I dare you to take a sip in the beginning and hold back (if you can) and then half way through your delicious meal, go back for seconds. You will have a completely new flavor on your hands my friend. — 8 years ago
All Malbecs should aspire to this... — 9 years ago
Like a hit song I’ve heard over & over again, not sure I know what this tastes like anymore-but it is delicious. Give it air to fill out the tomato soup notes (actually a good tomato soup). Double dare on finding a better & more consistent value under 18$. — 6 years ago
This started off as unassuming and maybe slightly reticent. After 1-2 hours, the nose gave away incense, which is an aromatic quality I adore from Bizot. Dare say the nose beat out the Roumier, Rousseau, and Leroy that night. Not saying this producer is clearly better, just this instance. — 6 years ago
Wow. Pale golden color with mild grapes on the nose. Mouth is sweet with hints of citrus and dare I say apple?! Wow — 8 years ago
Relatively light for a Chateauneuf, but so tasty. Light spicey flavour profile. Refreshing and, dare I say, burgundian. Prefer the Rhone 14s hugely over the 13s! — 8 years ago
Do I dare claim the peak day (08), month (12) and year (2018) of this extraordinary 2000! Simply sublime. Round and full of fruit with complementing tannins that make you keep coming back. Hats off to you Madam Corison. Befitting a 70th celebratory birthday; elegant and noble in its maturity. — 6 years ago

12’ Realm Beckstoffer Dr Crane. Color- Inky dark purple. This wine jumps out of the glass ( Holy S%#t ) Blueberry pie, blackberries, smokiness, dare I say a bit of earthiness to it. Sexy, complexed & incredibly delicious. WOW! Drinking now with 15 great years in it. — 7 years ago

Sweet and smooth, but not overly sweet either. — 9 years ago

Popped and poured. Glorious Chablis. Fresh, vibrant with accents of ripeness, sea mist, apples, chalk, flint, rocks, citrus. I dare you to find a bottle of white wine for $24 that is as good as this, let alone a Chablis. I feel like Robert Conrad from the Eveready commercials in the 70's with a bottle of Vocoret on my shoulder. Go ahead, knock it off. I dare you! 92pts. — 6 years ago
