Oldest cellar dates back to 1551, with rows of oak wine casks, over one hundred years old, crafted by the forefathers of the present generation of Hugels. The oldest cask in the world still in use: the Sainte Caterine, a capacity of 8,800 litres, built in 1715, the year Louis XIV died. Aromas of fruit & citrus aromas. Palate stone & tropical flavors, citrus notes, vivid acidity, medium finish. Nice! — 6 years ago
This is a rosè, so not sure about the other ratings for a red. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault blend. Strawberries, orange, salt, slate. Amazing, and well balanced — 7 years ago
Excellent.

Taillet sainte Anne brut. A nice Champagne with about a 60/40 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Light mousse with tiny bubbles this wine for its price is complex. Peach and melon flavors with citrus zest and a gentle nuttiness. Lively acidity with good balance. Long finish ending with yeasty notes. — 9 years ago
Burgundy Sauvignon Blanc. Great tension in the wine with some beautiful acid and minerality. — 9 years ago

M8, you have the chance or opertunity to try this beauty out, then treat yourself. This is sold in our house, so we have it on a regular basis. It's hard to specify any specific attributes, it's rose at its finest... It's the one I use as a measurement for rose wine. — 8 years ago

The NV Brut Cuvée Ste.-Anne is one of the best Champagnes readers will find in its price range, or any price range, for that matter. Bright and beautifully focused, the Ste.-Anne has so much to offer. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. If anything, it needs more time on the cork to soften, as it is quite reticent at this stage. This release is based on 2017, with reserve wines from 2016 and 2015. The blend is 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, with the Chardonnay very much in evidence at this stage. Dosage is 5.15 grams/liter. Disgorged: February, 2020.
