Profoundly earthy, with a great helping of pyrazine. Restrained fruit- blackberry and raspberry, and a garden-full of freshly turned soil, herbs and spices. Great balance of acid and tannin. Rustic and compelling - curious to see where this goes in a few more years. — 6 years ago
Exactly as described... light AND fruity. Easy to drink. — 6 years ago
Some said CLB when tasted blind. For me, elegant on the palate, with decent extract, but way too oaky for my liking at the moment. I see the potential of this wine, Burgundian, so much so that it draws comparisons with the top level producers. Really curious about their vineyard - it's definitely got the stuffing. — 7 years ago
Pleasant aromas of grapefruit, kiwi, grass and apple. Flavors of grapefruit, tropical fruits and herbs. Light yellow color and great QPR! Solid wine for the affordable price. — 7 years ago
Crisp with honeysuckle lime kiwi and tropical fruits. Delicious and nice sauvignon blanc from this region — 8 years ago
Trite to say, perhaps, but having just ate kiwi, this wine is surprisingly reminiscent. Wonderful stones, apples, grass, and toffee on the nose. I taste something astringent, almost kiwi-like, and slightly like petrol. Don't know what this was like in its youth but I like it now. There is a touch more butter than I'd like it the freshness of the nose carries through with nice acid and that astringency. Drink up! — 8 years ago
Recent reviews by some on CT had me curious about how these were evolving so I had to check in myself and personally assess, you know, for science. Popped and poured; consumed over three days. The first day was OTT with red fruit and spices...but mostly the fruit. The spices, really sort of a one-note black pepper bomb, pricking the tongue, perhaps giving a glimpse of something more interesting if patience was exercised. Super clean with no signs of brett. I was almost taken aback because this was coming across rather ham fisted and definitely an outlier for Pegaü. I say almost. Two days later, I revisited the remaining half of the bottle and that’s when things really started to show off. Chewy red and black fruits were still very much in abundance but they were now more delineated and showing somewhat grainy tannins which seems much more pronounced now than they were on the first night. Think the texture of eating a mouthful of brambles. The spices that were teasing on the first night were stepping up to play a more pronounced role taking on more of a black licorice character with some lovely garrigue. Sound structure...though perhaps not as impressive as the 2016 Cuvée Réservée. Long, lip smacking finish though...and really delivering the goods! Based off this experience, I would imagine the best is yet to come for the 2015 Pegaü. If you’re drinking on the pop and pour, prepare for disappointment. These could use some time. I look forward to revisiting in 2025 and beyond. — 5 years ago
Just a stunner. Nose is a knockout while still remaining elegant. White flowers, salted water, kaffir lime, white peach, underipe kiwi, maybe even some yellow plum. Great body and pithy pomelo on the palate, along with some kind of herbal simple syrup I’ve tasted before. Not getting as much overt flintiness as previous vintages. Finish brings more creamy orange (creamsicle???) and maybe orange green star notes. Fantastic — 6 years ago
Wow. I’ve had a lot of kiwi SBs in my day but this wine is completely different. Super elegant on the nose, elderflower and hay on the nose with subtle pear skin and muted grapefruit. Med + / med acid toned down and balanced. Ripe citrus turned down to a 6 and a touch of lees to provide structure. Finish is vibrant, clean and strong on the fruit — 7 years ago

Jesus, how's the acid. Mouthwatering and then some. Just what the doctor order on a 37 degree scorcher. Green apple, tangerine, kiwi, slight honey comb and petrol poking through indicating some bottle age. — 8 years ago
Kiwi, melon, and mushroom. Lightly sweet and softly tinted pink. Good with something a touch spicy. — 5 years ago
A favourite of mine. This English lager is smooth, with a subtle malt flavour that has the slightest hint of fruit. Brewed using Saaz and Cascade hops it is in its finally stages re-fremented with champagne yeast and Nelson Sauvin hops.
All-in-all a delightful lager. — 6 years ago
Relatively refreshing medium bodied drink with smell and taste of kiwi, apricot, peach, faint green apple and lime. Reminds me of white citrusy fruits. Good drink on hot day — 6 years ago
Lovely Pinot Noir dominated bubbles at £55-£60 which feels a good price for the quality 😉

This is the 2016 and it is as good as the prior growths if not better, the reason I keep it stocked. Mild floral with excellent kiwi and citrus taste that just lingers in your mouth. Never been disappointed and this a step ahead. Buy for cocktails, chicken or fish, you won't go wrong!! — 8 years ago
