Okay but again, waited too long to post. Need to try it again. — 7 years ago
Surprisingly light, was expecting a thick dessert wine styke but it was refreshing and balanced — 7 years ago
Lots of red fruit on the nose with some spice. Smooth with fine tannins and good body. Decent length without going overboard. A most agreeable wine. — 8 years ago

Performs very well now. Perfectly balanced, gentle and round. Top price quality wine due also to his listing as “table wine”.For less than 30 Euro you get something absolutely great in your glass - made by Mariano Garcia who used to make Vega Sicilia for 30 years. Absolute joy ! — 8 years ago

This RG has nothing on Steve M's! Quite enjoyable however on a beautiful day! Expected more orange and pineapple, but it was more of a chard. — 10 years ago
The last vintage made by the great Mariano Garcia. Still in excellent shape this will go another 10-15 years easy. Complex and evolves over the palate with finesse and precision. #vegasicilia #valbuena #tempranillo #riberadelduero #tintofino — 10 years ago

Produced by the Mauro winery in Castilla-León, a project of Mariano García, a winemaker known for being technical manager of Vega Sicilia for 30 years. A blend of Tempranillo with 5% Syrah and aged for 16 months in French oak. Ripe Berry fruits, powerful yet elegant, with spice & smoky notes on full, very tight, tannins. Lingering finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip!! Tasting great, has much more aging potential. Very Nice! — 7 years ago
