Cucamonga Vineyard

SCYTHIAN WINE CO.

Revolution Cucamonga Valley Zinfandel Palomino

Excellent blend. Bright fruit notes from the Zinfandel balanced with the acidity of the Palomino and dryness of the Grenache. The complexity is awesome! — 6 days ago

The Scythians Zinfandel Blend 2022

Natural style, wild. Kirsch Cassis fruit reminds me of Mission. Moderate acidity — 2 years ago

Scar of the Sea

Lopez Vineyard Zinfandel 2020

Really light touch, spicy and fresh with good acidity. Totally avoids the cloying sweetness and excess weight of most CA Zinfandel. — 4 years ago

Block Collection Lopez Vineyard Zinfandel 2002

2002 vintage - has stood up very well to the test of time. — 5 years ago

Scar of the Sea

Lopez Vineyard Palomino 2022

Really pretty and complicated bottle. A bit orange, definitely some skin contact. The aromas lean heavily towards dried fruit in the vein of apricot, mango, and pineapple. Some salted almonds and ginger. — 2 years ago

A Tribute to Grace Wines

Hofer Vineyard Grenache 2019

What can I say I love anything Angela makes, and the new Tribute to Grace tasting room in Los Alamos is a gem. My Dad declared this was his favorite wine ever and my mom is from nearby Cucamonga, so let’s just say everyone was happy. For that reason, wine of our trip out west after not seeing the folks for 18 months. As always, just incredibly elegant Grenache, light on its feet, but not without its nuanced power — 4 years ago

Raj Parr Wines

Scythians Palomino

Really salty and acidic in the best way, something different but great! Medium bodied with some heft on the mouthfeel, but a really zesty and briny finish — 9 months ago

Beautiful wine. A ton of flowers, herbs, lemon, earl gray, just coats your mouth in goodness. Enjoying these cucamonga wines! — a year ago

Hermann York Wine

A Lone Wolf Bob Munoa Ranch 2020

Opened and brought to a Charity dinner. So many wines open, so this was hardly touched. Brought home and enjoyed over nine (yes 9) days. Made as a Rosé, this wine has some weight to it. Wonderful first effort from the Hermann York team, who are making excellent wines from SoCal old vine vineyards in Antelope Valley, Rancho Cucamonga and others. This one is from a 120 year old own-rooted vineyard on the Pechanga Reservation near Temecula, planted 60 years prior to the current commercial vineyards in the area. Mission, Grenache and probably some hybrids, as the vineyard had been abandoned for about 60 years. This had plenty of CO2 to keep it alive, with a nice Champagne pop even on day 8. A good group of guys making fun and interesting wines! — 3 years ago
