I was really impressed with this for such a young En Chamberlin vineyard. Fox fur and raw hot dog aromas rise from the decanter, dark herbaceous flavor profile—black olive, licorice, bay leaf. Thank you for hosting in your gorgeous cellar @Mike R you provided ear to ear smiles in your cellar — 7 years ago
Had been holding on to this for the last three years and decided to crack it open. Let it decant for just 30 minutes and did get better with time. Slight “funky” flavor that mellowed to be more cherry, spice and slight earth tones. Unique blend and one I would have again. — 5 months ago
Nice bright Tempranillo from the #wallawalla region. — 8 years ago
80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Syrah. Rocks District Fruit. Dark red/purple color. Expressive aromas of black cherry and crushed stones. The palate is more plum fruit driven with additional notes of roasted herbs, Earl Grey tea and baking spices. Touch of vanilla on the long and velvety finish. Wonderfully balanced. With a bit of aeration, this wine is remarkably refined yet still quite muscular. Well crafted. — 5 months ago
A completely different experience of Gevrey
Fleshier due to the quality of the vineyard, Combottes is next to Latricieres Chamberlin which is a Grand Cru, but in my opinion there a combination of unripe grapes and the mishandled must. It is green in an unpleasant way, a bit too oaky as well
Potentially this could have been a good wine, but expectations have been not satisfied in the end.

Mineral and zippy grapefruit and citrus. Medium weight. Serious with some density, mild and pleasant bitter edge. — 5 months ago
