Pappy's First Cousin. — 10 years ago
The best vintage of the #90s is finally coming around and the long wait has been well worth it...this is one of the last vintages presided over by #Rouget's cousin Henri Jayer and the results are spectacular!
It's drinking beautifully with all the depth and power one expects from a Grand Cru Côte de Nuits and it can hold this glorious pattern at least another decade--BRAVO!!! #burgundy #grandcru #cotesdenuits #echezeaux #emmanuelrouget #1999 — 10 years ago

Harlan Estate's second cousin... — 10 years ago
This very good Piedmont red and its distinct Nebbiolo grape will never be mistaken for a southern Italian cousin. Good now but still young for a Barolo and with time the rich tannin flavour will soften out. But why wait it is a beauty right now. Aromas of earth, slight tar and rose petals. Enjoy — 10 years ago
Beautifully rustic yet finessed, perfumed with lavender, violet, blueberries and gooseberries. Sweet overtones but pungent with tobacco, overripe capsicum, tomato leaves. Wonderfully well proportioned with integrated alcohol (surprised it was 14%) and just enough acid to be structured but not interfere with the elegant body. It's like an early drinking coquettish cousin of Nebbiolo! — 11 years ago

Petillant naturel. Nice — 10 years ago
Much better compared to the '08. Barnyard and mushroomy earth at first which gave way to matchsticks, currants, brambley berries, and dried flowers. Acidity still super fresh — 10 years ago
