One of the best wines I've had. Hard to get in the U.S. — 8 years ago
Wow. Now my favorite Barbera. Surprisingly elegant for Barbera. Smooth and complex finish with licorice and leather, starting with cranberry and raspberry. An expensive but worthwhile purchase. This wine was still fresh and could age even longer. — 4 years ago
Wonderful red wine from the hills in front of the Ligurian Sea.
Mediterranean erbs, tangerine, pine resin... lot of things all in a glass.

In the glass this wine is deep dark burgundy with slightly orange-tinged halo. It smells masculine and earthy with hints of pepper, cedar, blueberries and anise seed. The wine goes down easy even with the noticeable presence of rich tannins. The balance is nice, keeping it interesting as the finish lingers. I taste oak-y dark cherries with an aftertaste of black licorice. I think this is some good medicine. I need another dose. — 5 years ago

Wow. Cannot beat this gamey, rustic, bright, fresh red...many things in one! And, it has 8 different varieties of local grapes. A blend of 25.5% Touriga Franca, 22.5% Tinta Roriz, 16.5% Tinta Amarela, 10.5% Tinta Barroca, 8.5% Tinto Cao, 8% Sousao, 6.5% Tinta Francisca and 2% Touriga Nacional from Baixo Corgo and Cima Corgo, Douro, Portugal. For $9 you cannot beat it. Thanks @k&L — 7 years ago
