For some reason really loving Rosso di Montalcino of late. Might try to plan a trip there for 2022! This one is so seamless with velvet tannins. Quite aromatic. Wonderful dark red fruit, lifting acid, perfect with skirt steak on the grill. Very nice. — 4 years ago
Didn’t even need a decant, this babe was ready to go the second I popped the cork. This was all dried blackberries and dark plum with sturdy tannins begging for a rack of lamb. — 5 years ago

Drinking a 2010 vintage in December 2019 and this wine is still drinking quite well and it could be argued that it’s at or near it’s peak. Excellent nose, beautiful color and lasting finish. Pairs well with red meats, stews, soups, cheeses and breads. Also roasted pork dishes that are more flavorful. Glad I bought a case and cellared it for several years. — 6 years ago

Our trusty Amarone from Guiseppe Campagnola. This one was 10 years old. Burst of flavors. Lacking some of the intense spice and tannin structure. — 10 months ago
