Opulent, versatile. Very rich in flavour. Citrus as well as rural tones. Sweet finish. Always to recognize something new. Nicely pared with fish and beef. Excellent wine. Love it. — 9 years ago
Love whisper my angel. Perfect dry rose for salads & fish. Would recommend to anyone looking for rose that's not sweet and dry on the tongue — 9 years ago
Spicy and peppery on the nose with a hint of apricot from the Viognier whose influence has diminished over the years. Red cherry and pepper on the palate. Generally regarded as one of the finest Shiraz blends in Australia. Cool climate - Intensity without weight. I love this style and this 2004 was a treat for the senses. Soft resolved fine savoury tannins. Sadly my last 2004 in 750ml although I did find a magnum after making this note. — 4 years ago
Very dark Crimson particularly for a cool climate Tasmanian Cabernet. Aromas of dark plum, clove, tobacco leaf and oak spice on the nose with a medium to full bodied palate with dusty plum and integrated oak - perfect balance. Seamless with resolved tannin and finishing with persistent length. Matured in 100% French oak Barriques. After a couple of hours in the decanter a lovely left bank perfume of rose bush and brambles. A wonderful Cabernet (90%) by any measure and a fitting tribute to Peter Althaus, the founder, who passed away unexpectedly in early January aged 79 in his native Switzerland. I like many others said that Tasmania was too cool to ripen Cabernet Sauvignon but Peter Althaus proved us all wrong. Vale Peter. — 5 years ago
Terrific Sauvignon Blanc with all of the positive NZ attributes, but the balance is better than most. Delicious on its own or with food, especially fish and chicken. 2018 — 6 years ago
Amazingly crisp! Not what I expected, in a good way. — 7 years ago
Grenache Gris, Blanc, Maccabée et Vermentino! Richesse et fraîcheur bien intégrée. — 8 years ago

Beautiful copper color, crisp and subtle cherrie notes. Be great with chicken or fish. — 9 years ago
As usual off the charts cool. Opened up over the course of a couple hours. Expressive nose of fresh cut red flowers, raspberries, black pepper, undergrowth, dried herbs, some vegetal hints. Fantastic concentration and elegance with fine tannins and beautiful acidity that ends in a medium+ finish. — 4 years ago

For fish taco night. More elegant than expected lovely nose. Not a bad Whole Foods bottle — 5 years ago
Very cool Sauvignon blanc from alto adige. Doesn’t have the typical over the top aromatics - instead a very balanced refined nose of flowers, honey, hint of tropical fruits and citrus followed by mouth coating acidity on the palate and a medium+ finish — 6 years ago

The yin to 2005’s yang, the 2008 is ethereal and elegant, very Burgundian like. The fruit is more red to dark red, slightly more high toned and fresher - red cherry, currants, and pomegranate, with elegant spice and savory notes. The pepper here is a little more perceptible but is also very well integrated with the style the vintage has borne. The palate has med/med+ concentration, with more perceptible acidity, but in a mouthwatering, refreshing way. The tannin are med/med+ and fine, and this finishes long, cool and fresh. Another example of a great vintage/terroir wine. — 3 years ago
