amazingly good 2002 drunk aprl 2017 — 9 years ago
Well received by a consensus of tasters at the Conference. Named after the ship that charted and explored the Marlborough Coast in 1827. Grapes are sourced from multiple sites in Marlborough to make this Pinot Noir. — 9 years ago
En Magnum. Good fill, but cork broke even with an ah so.. color seemed slightly orange when decanting for sediment, but two hours later it was showing a beautiful red. Both green and black pepper notes, still decent fruit, and a joy to drink and share. Consensus WOTN for most. — 10 years ago
8th wine of KWN. All secondary flavors. Bacon fat on the nose and palate. Consensus was it was from Burgundy. Fantastic. The winery is up and down - good vintages are solid; other years are not great. Wine #6. — 11 years ago
Unexpected personality! Determined and full like no rosé I ever tasted before, while still offering the complex lightness of a night of great food in Venice. Notes of roses and even sun filled liquorice pepper supports this aerial yet substantive rosé. A great summer contender when the consensus at the table can't rest on a red. — 11 years ago
Consensus Wine of the tasting. If you can find it, buy it. — 11 years ago
Consensus Number two, my number one. One of the few 1990s cabs we drank to still be drinking well. — 12 years ago
Consensus seems to hate this one, I love it — 13 years ago
This was the consensus favorite against Pegau Reservee same vintage. Both great and elegant. — 9 years ago
Blackberry jam, currant flavors, visibly aged, very dark, some light chocolate flavors. Rich like a Cabernet Sauvignon. 2007. — 9 years ago
I'll echo the consensus - a lovely, elegant expression of Napa terroir in a Syrah. Vanilla notes give way to spiciness - fruit is at a balanced concentration with silky tannins. Vegetal tobacco notes from stems. Wish I bought more. John is an absolute rock star. 2012 vintage — 10 years ago
My only correct guess in the blind tasting. I love this wine and really enjoyed it. The consensus at the table was good but not great. I found the fruit to lost a bit of its purity than I remember form last few bottles. — 11 years ago
Going with the consensus here. Haven't consumed it yet. — 11 years ago
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, & Norton- this "Consensus" red blend (made by wine club members @ Keswick Vineyards in Virginia is a delight. Fruit forward, it's got a lighter character to it but still has enough muscle to hold up the balance. Encor! Encor! — 12 years ago
For an older vintage, this wine was showing bright fruit and flavor. When had at dinner, a few at the table thought this particular bottle was slightly corked. However, the overall consensus declared it drinkable. Really nice and surprisingly affordable for the vintage. Chianti is making a come back! — 9 years ago
Adding my notes from an International Cabernet tasting from May 2017. A rich plush wine in the Californian style although this is from the Alexander Valley (Sonoma) 98% Cabernet Sauvignon. A lot going on on the palate with Gravel Plum and Mocha. Oak notes coming through on the palate United Cellars who conducted this tasting also showed in southern capital cities and this was the consensus winner in Melbourne and Adelaide we were told. — 9 years ago
The third of three 21-year-old single malts that we tasted at the December Old Line Scotch Club meeting. This was slightly tangy, smooth and complex. As good as it was, it was the least favorite of the three, by consensus, among the club members. #glenlivet #21 #whisky #singlemalt #oldlinescotchclub #tubbysdiner — 10 years ago
Consensus wine of the night. (Burg 6/6.) My first Bart Grand cru. This had a little bit of everything you want in a red Burgundy. Perfect balance. Spicy, lush, long, broad, detailed and refreshing. Very expressive now, and I don't think it will fade any time soon. Gorgeous wine. Thanks @Gianluct Torellix ! — 10 years ago

Bonus Wine #2 after Arietta wine dinner. a bit of barnyard on the nose. Consensus was this was past prime, but still a nice treat. Thanks @Dustin Cano ! — 11 years ago

This is a kick in the nuts. I just gave the wine a rating between my first bottle and that of the consensus. — 12 years ago

Last wine of the night, had set this aside then realized we had not opened it and those who stayed to the very end wanted one more glass. This really stood out or our pallets were shot (maybe a combo). Really in a nice place and no hint of green flavors that some of the 11’s are known for. A little older than what we had been drinking all night and the consensus was it was “softer”. I first stated buying these in the 2006 vintage and I’m glad I did, Aron Pott does great things with these grapes. — 9 years ago
