Massive! Full-bodied 80/20 Malbec Cab Sauv blend. Lamb and hearty BBQ nicely compliment this wine. — 10 years ago
Airstream trip to hood river! Rich and yummy blend. — 11 years ago
Love the expression of both terrior and fruit coming from the Celilo Vineyard. Neatly situated at the lip of the Columbia River in the cool Columbia Gorge where Washington and Oregon meet. Striking acidity that is approaching exuberant but holds itself well with the dominant ripe tropical fruit. Crisp and velvety with some subtle "malo". Neutral oak which is more perceivable near room temp still shows a great deal of restraint. Definitely one of the more fascinating Chards I've had in a long time and I can't wait to see what depth age brings to this wine. @Matt Austin — 11 years ago
Fantastic Riesling - just like the "genuine article" you'd find in the glorious Mosel River Valley. — 12 years ago
Well I had a review of this fantastic wine right after the update, and apparently didn't save it, as I was unused to the GUI. So here goes from memory: this is a beauty, with such depth, breadth, and complexity, that I will only touch on the highlights which subsequently have burned themselves into my psyche. This is pure espresso, mocha, blackberry cobbler, black cherry and black currant without being jammy. It is layered with toast, scorched earth notes, charred meat aromas, rosemary, a touch of mint. Violets and black roses, balanced acidity lifting the weight of its complexity on atlas like shoulders of absolutely sensuous perfect and satiny tannins. Tobacco, white pepper, nutmeg and much much more! If you can find it, grab it at any cost! It is just now hitting its stride, and it's 'certainly not showing any signs that it is slowing'. Trip down a chocolate river anyone? — 12 years ago
Interessant, super frais et propre, tombe pas une seconde dans le travers des viogniers gras et pretentieux. Vraiment surprenant pour un vin de la cote ouest... l'antithese d'un blanc de la bas :-) Bravo l'Oregon et la Columbia river... — 13 years ago
This wine will truly need a few years to set up. 2011 was a cold spring along the Columbia River, so the foundations are here for this to be a wonderful blend in 3-5 years. — 13 years ago
This winery is amazing. They turn out so many good wines. What a hidden gem! — 14 years ago
Nice finish to this Idaho red blend wine. Idaho wine typically sucks, but we are enjoying this with our spaghetti! Tasting room on Boise River is such a nice place to enjoy a glass with friends and an amazing view and the irresistible idaho mindset. — 9 years ago
Merlot & Cab Franc blend. A fantastic dry summer wine. Strawberry & cherry notes. Continues to be my favorite Rose'. — 10 years ago

80% River Rock vineyard, nice meaty, funky, spice — 12 years ago
Ripe black fruit and slight phenolic (antiseptic) aromas. The phenolic burns off after a few minutes. Blackberry and cedar with a smooth, rich finish. — 12 years ago
Textbook beautiful Oregon Pinot. Light nuanced but with persistence and depth from a tiny producer near Hood River — 13 years ago
Great with Copper River Salmon — 13 years ago
Post-Masters dinner with this delicious Columbia River merlot. — 13 years ago

Tonight's wine is from Washington State the 2011 L'Ecole No.41 Colombia Valley Chenin Blanc.
This wine is done in the Vouvray Demi-Sec style and done well, a very drinkable wine.
The nose is very beautiful and full with nice fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, peach skin, mango and good mineral wet river rock.
On the palate there is mandarin orange, tangerine, apricots, baked apple, mango, lemon curd with a bit of sweetness which a good Demi-sec wine normally has.
This wine has a bit of a viscous mouth feel with Medium + acidity and a nice long finish with that lingering fresh acidity. — 10 years ago
Killer with Bavette steak and parsnip/turnip purée. Subtle hint of oak with enough acid to cut rich snake river farms beef — 11 years ago
Very good white wine. Fruity but dry. A wine from a winery in Hood River Oregon we visited. Very delicious. — 12 years ago
This is why Idaho wines are beginning to be noticed. Columbia valley fruit but Telaya is trending to the Snake River appellation. — 12 years ago
Super rich Merlot from Columbia River Valley. Perfect match for a nice filet! — 12 years ago
Light crisp sharp not too tart. — 13 years ago
Very good. Better than the 2010. Less pear and more honey flavor — 13 years ago
The 2008 Traditions Merlot features grapes from a number of our estate vineyards in Eastern Washington's Wahluke Slope. Established in 2006, the Wahluke Slope is a sub-region within the Columbia Valley appellation. Located midway between Seattle and Spokane it is bordered by the Columbia River to the southwest and Hanford Reach National Monument to the east. The climate here is warm enough during the day to fully ripen grapes, yet cool enough at night to ensure bright acids and firm tannins. The 2008 Traditions Merlot is elegant, balanced and approachable. The nose is bright and forward with cherries, berries and plums wrapped in crème brulée and brown sugar. The flavors are a seamless blend of fruit, oak and acidity. Blend: 78% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec & 1% Barbera. — 13 years ago
