Deep hues on the nose. Wow. Wonderful Merlot. I was worried it was past it’s prime but it’s delicious.

Good. Doesn't have the youthful fruit going any longer. More spicy and earthy as it ages.

The ultimate Colombia Valley Merlot. Rich earthy minerality - deep leather, blackberry and cherry notes. Tannins compliment the flavor well. Finally on my list!

2008 Northstar Merlot. Opened 1-16-2014. Ruby red in color. No oak smell. Robust. D smelled vanilla. 1st sip wow - yummy. Smooth vanilla. Slight heat in throat - good. 2nd sip hit cheeks. Jammie. 3rd sip warm in mouth and on back of throat. Lingering taste of dry chocolate and berry. Leaves tongue and mouth dry D said dry and slight spice on back of tongue. Full robust flavor. Dries your tongue with lingering taste. Should age another 2 to 3 years. Have two more bottles.
