The 2019 Schioppettino is remarkably pretty and floral, with violets and roses complementing its wild red berries and hints of smoke. This is soft-textured and lifted in feel, yet also packed full of fleshy raspberry fruit, as exotic spices build within. It leaves a tinge of sour citrus while finishing lightly structured and with a staining like liquid lavender. Lovers of Schioppettino will fall head over heels for the 2019. Schioppettino. Rustic, earthy funkiness. Blackberries, citrus pith, white pepper, brambles. Apparently rare in the US, from Fermented Grapes. — 5 years ago
Yummy bottle. Deliciously soft texture with an unmistakable spiciness on the back of the palate. Ripe fruit, black pepper, slightly herbaceous. Stunning bottle...great way to end a Monday! — 6 years ago

The 2022 Ribolla Gialla wafts from the glass with a vivid blend of crushed green apple, candied lime and mint aromas. This is round and soothing, offset by mineral-tinged orchard fruits. Ginger notes resonate toward the medium-bodied close. This finishes wickedly fresh. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2024) — a year ago
Blend of Friulano and Ribolla Gialla. Straw gold color with green highlights. Nice aromas of vanilla ice cream and white flowers with hints of fresh pears. The palate is much more fruit forward featuring pear, lychee, melon and tropical fruits. Touch of citrus and minerals on the long finish. Medium-plus bodied and perfectly balanced. Juicy and quite easy to drink. Winner! Thanks for sharing this bottle, Kase. — a year ago
Superb White from Northern Italy! Very Aromatic. Green grass, floral, and stone fruit. Great texture and a slight minerality, lemon, and herbs. This would make a great everyday white. — 3 years ago

Created in 1981, Terre Alte is considered one of Italy's most prestigious white wines, blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes, estate-grown at Rosazzo in the historic Terre Alte vineyards. Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and wonderful floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and slight lemon citrus with honey floral notes and lively acidity. Smooth finish ending with fruit and sweet mineral notes. Very nice! — a year ago
22/6/8-10 with scallop crudo, fresh homemade tagliolini al Portonat, frico, etc. side by side with the Gnemiz Sol, this was deeper, more spherical, and more complex. A pretty remarkable range of aromas - from classic Sauvignon scents to richer peach and nectarine, honey, mint, vanilla, cool stone, etc. The palate was very deep and richly satisfying while still being sprightly and drinkable, with tons of minerality that was somehow round rather than salty. This was one of the best young Sauvignon Blancs I’ve had, and I’d love to see it with some age. — 3 years ago

Decanted for 90min prior to service. The 2013 pours, a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity, with light staining of the tears. Small signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, mostly dark with some red forest fruit: blackberries, black currants, rotting strawberries, a fresh package of red rope licorice, purple flowers, old pennies, and dry, rocky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin(+?) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I think this is my first time enjoying a wine made with Tazzelenghe and, if I can help it, will not be my last. Drink now. — 7 months ago
