The 2019 Schioppettino is remarkably pretty and floral, with violets and roses complementing its wild red berries and hints of smoke. This is soft-textured and lifted in feel, yet also packed full of fleshy raspberry fruit, as exotic spices build within. It leaves a tinge of sour citrus while finishing lightly structured and with a staining like liquid lavender. Lovers of Schioppettino will fall head over heels for the 2019. Blend of Friulano and Ribolla Gialla. Straw gold color with green highlights. Nice aromas of vanilla ice cream and white flowers with hints of fresh pears. The palate is much more fruit forward featuring pear, lychee, melon and tropical fruits. Touch of citrus and minerals on the long finish. Medium-plus bodied and perfectly balanced.
