Grapey, syrupy, smoky deliciousness — 11 years ago
left open 8 hours before glugged. Very acidic initially but balanced out by the 2nd glass. Big, black deep. Dark ass berries, beef jerky, spliff ash. Got better with every glass. Finished the bottle after a couple of hours and the last glass was the best (but I was stoned). This wine is girlfriend material — 9 years ago

Schäfer Fröhlich always makes great wine no matter what level. This Qualitätswein from a tough vintage does not disappoint a winner in my recent Club W tasting. Slightly bitter like many wines I like very slight petrol notes. Close to fermented pineapple according to Mimi our host at our dinner potluck. Here you go the women knows how to describe wine and has had fermented pineapple in past. — 10 years ago

Paid $20 at Martignetti's on sale. Nice clean crisp fresh taste. Mimi really likes this one: "smooth, not oaky, no bite." — 10 years ago

Sadly a touch over the hill, but showing more in the pallette than in the nose. Thin on the back and mid, everything here is up front. What is there is delightful:-) would like to check up on another bottle, think there is some potential here... — 11 years ago
