A Cristal killer. Love it. — 5 years ago
Mid nineties in Havana calls for a cold beer. Rather tasty and hit the spot. Want to cheers all the wonderful people we met and wish them the best. We were lucky to make it to this beautiful city the week before the new sanctions went into effect. Hopefully it will be short so the good people of Cuba don’t suffer too much. — 6 years ago

Punchy minerals and ripe stone fruits. Flavors of tart green apple, wet stones, and aggressive structure, like a wave rushing past your legs on the beach. This is delicious and elegant, yet oh so savage compared to the smooth, focused, pure Cristal I just tasted. — 7 years ago
Heavy apple notes, hint of brioche. Since I’ve been ruined by having had Cristal (thanks to an awfully nice friend of mine), nothing can ever compare! — 7 years ago
Because bitcoin doesn’t go up forever, and we can’t drink Cristal every night. Fortunately Louis Roederer produces a dynamite sparkler from their estate in Anderson Valley for a song... wholesale price for a case of Roederer Estate Brut is roughly the retail price for a bottle of Cristal. When you factor in the price, this is stunning. Outrageous complexity meets mouthwatering deliciousness. Loaded with baked and toasted overtones, the apple and lemon somehow manages to make it back to the surface. Refreshing and yet heavily spiced. You should have a bottle of this in your fridge at all times. And this was, deservedly, #25 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2017. — 8 years ago

2009 vintage. Pale gold. Smells intensely like, well, Riesling. Very mineral, combined with flowers and honey. Cristal-clear crispy fruit, the residual Auslese-like sugar beautifully balanced with mouth-watering bright acidity. The intensity and length of these wines is amazing with such low alcohol (abv. 7,5%). Still very young as these wines can age forever. Another great effort from this top producer. — 5 years ago
Way too soon for this stud of a wine, but I needed to compare it side by side with Cristal 08. Big, bold, in your face... lots of structure and acidity... notes of Apple core and lemon pith...best Dom I’ve had... but only showing glimpses of future glory. Sharing lots of nuance and notes with the Cristal... on this day the brooding power of the Dom came across a bit more dumb and slumbering. Patience required! — 7 years ago
Just outstanding not only a great champagne but an outstanding wine. Slightly oxidized style, long Burn, high minerality . Selosse much much better than the highly touted Krug, Dom Perignon, Cristal. — 8 years ago

Another amazing dinner and “Legendary” wine pairing at Addison. Jennifer liked this better than the Cristal! — 3 years ago

Had this and the 2004 Cristal. Special treats. — 6 years ago

I really liked this bottle. A little funky. Rich. Bold. Very tart in the first 10 minutes, but then mellows. More, please. — 8 years ago

turns out i like anything from the Anderson Valley! but really...it held up next the Cristal in a blind tasting. the bubbles "deflated" more quickly but other than that, perfection on the palate. — 3 years ago
