This is some real deal shit. Blue-black berries nose with slight licorice and leather. A perfect sphere in my mouth--hits everything equally. The zin comes out subtly. Really amazing.

So I was wondering why this wasn't hitting 93, 94 for me tonight. Sure enough, new vintage 2013. 2012 scored better. Maybe needs more time, but I did decant this for 1.5 hours. Still solid 92 though.

On the palate, ripe blackberry, cherry and sweet raspberry flavors, fragrant cedar, tobacco and cacao round out the taste. Magnum. Initially a 93 rating and then falls apart after 1.5 hours and becomes an 89. Lovely, classic , delicate, herbal Bordeaux. Rich and balanced initially and then declines rapidly. Very sad. — 10 years ago

Tremendous. I feel like the earlier ratings on this wine were way way off. After 10 years in the bottle this wine is just starting to show its true character. Its glorious dramatic and has a great finish.
