Wonderful red wine from the hills in front of the Ligurian Sea.
Mediterranean erbs, tangerine, pine resin... lot of things all in a glass.
Unique! — 5 years ago
In the glass this wine is deep dark burgundy with slightly orange-tinged halo. It smells masculine and earthy with hints of pepper, cedar, blueberries and anise seed. The wine goes down easy even with the noticeable presence of rich tannins. The balance is nice, keeping it interesting as the finish lingers. I taste oak-y dark cherries with an aftertaste of black licorice. I think this is some good medicine. I need another dose. — 5 years ago

Wow. Now my favorite Barbera. Surprisingly elegant for Barbera. Smooth and complex finish with licorice and leather, starting with cranberry and raspberry. An expensive but worthwhile purchase. This wine was still fresh and could age even longer. — 4 years ago
Excellent. Le balsamique m’est venu en première gorgée. Ensuite fruits mûre, prune, légèrement tabac. Très enveloppant, moyen acide. Excellent avec steak. SAQ $19 — 4 years ago
Rich perfume of spices and pomegranate. Specifically pomegranate. Beautiful bee pollen and mulling spices. No harshness. The fragrance of a rich and blossoming garden of roses.
Woah. Zippity zip. We got acidity, and it’s medium to high but with the natural carbonation and juice juice juice, it just works man.
It’s got sour framboise beer qualities, but of course the tannins and the cola like quality just sings.

John Asbury
It’s a difficult, low-yielding white grape from the Piedmont (NW Italy) whose name, Arneis translates to “Little Rascal”. I discovered it while visiting the region, a few years back, and have been a fan ever since. Aromatic, spicy, and full-flavored it entertains the pallet with crisp lime and tart tree fruits. It paired well with salad based foods and light cheeses. Roero is where, within the Piemonte, the grapes were grown. — 4 years ago
