Chateau Taylor Taylor

Taylor Fladgate

Vintage Port Blend 1994

1994 vintage. Popped, decanted and filtered and tasted immediately. Opened six decades too early. The whole crushed violets and plummy thang definitely there alongside hints of sweet tobacco in her breath. With apologies, just another number in your little black book. These are the pros and cons. 1.24.26. — 4 months ago

6 decades. If I find one I will have to commit infanticide since I don’t have 60yrs to wait!

Fantastic. Perfect age. Older world. Feels and tastes like a bottle many times more expensive. — 5 years ago

This was a head scratcher. Don’t think I’ve had a wine like this. It wanted to reveal white chocolate and marzipan, but instead it tasted like green tea/chamomile coated almonds. It had some buttered pear and honeyed melon notes on the finish...very unique. — 7 years ago

It was definitely interesting. I’d like to try it again alongside similar wines to truly see what the style is they are going for.

Mary Taylor Costieres de Nimes Red Rhone Blend 2017

Supple, jammy, silky mouthfeel, grapefruit, reminds me of the smokey charcoal of a Vacqueyras and the fruit of a luscious Pinot.

A recommended Rhône from the local shop owner on 23rd street.

A bouquet that brings the memory of clementines.

A shimmering pool of maroon silk.

Komorebi Vineyard Pinot Noir

Outstanding. While Pinot Noir typically speaks to a place, this one does not tell you that it is from California. Lovely age worthy Burgundy style Pinot. — a year ago

20 Years Old Tawny Port Blend 1692

My 2nd favorite 20 yr behind Grahams. Ramos Pinto is good as well, but seems to have to bottle to bottle variability issues…. Taylor is a great standby at a good price. — 5 years ago

Tons of vanilla and cinnamon. Very creamy mouthfeel. A bit of a spicy kick in the teeth up front but then finishes loooooong and smoooooth. Wow. — 7 years ago
