Wow... Just, wow! This champagne has strength and finesse – words will never do it justice. Layers and layers of mineral, stone, flowers, vanilla, caramel, exotic fruit, and a richness that is hard to put into words, balanced by delicate acidity. What a great way to celebrate New Year's eve! — 10 years ago

Outstanding old style burgundy. Perhaps not its finest year but at ten years old drinking beautifully. — 10 years ago
Forget the references about oak, tobacco, pepper etc. One word sums up this juice. Wow, crazy good, fabulous, smooth as silk, scrumptious. Ok, well one word can't do this wine justice. — 11 years ago

Words can't do this justice! Thanks to the legend for sharing. — 11 years ago
Our second chard that hasn't been buried in oak, I chose this based on the fact that I figured William Fevre would do justice to Chilean chardonnay grapes...and I was right. If ypu close your eyes this might be pegged as a Premier Cru burgundy. Excellent balance in terms of fruit and acidity, this is probably the best white we've had in Chile. — 9 years ago
Oaky, smoky, blackberries and yumminess. Loved this, Rebelle has so many hidden gems in their wine list! — 9 years ago
What can be said about d'Yquem can only be expressed in poetry, even in a modest vintage like 1998. It is an inner sanctum, a fragrant garden, a poignant release that is both profound and glorious. Descriptors cannot do it justice, sensual and honey-drenched layers of apricots, vanilla bean, creme brûlée and almond pastry. Viscous and glycerol-laden in the mouth, offset by dazzling acidity, dried fruit—quince, more apricots. A silken, pure, honey-spun web of delight. I'm rambling, but d'Yquem does that. — 10 years ago

@Ted Corvey Held onto it as long as I could. That's not to say I was saving it, but I just was waiting for the right time. Tonight was that time. I took refuge from the hordes playing Pokemon outside and cracked this bottle and poured a glass. Despite the deep purple robe, it doesn't even do the flavor justice. Humongous waves of plum, blackberry, and black cherry give way into cayenne with a hint of something I can't quite put my nose on. Huge tannins leave the palette simultaneously dry and salivating. It's a great wine, only deducted points because it's not my preferred style. Still, this is a wine to be respected. — 9 years ago
