I like this a lot, it is something on it's own and a refreshing alternative from the usual Burgundy clone style. Rich, round and creamy. Some green notes (pleasant) and cardboard (not corcked). — 2 days ago

Rouge-Gorge Coteaux Du Loir Pineau d'Aunis 2022

This was a by-the-glass favorite at the Loire property where we stayed. Biodynamic Pinot d’Aunis. Lots of wild red berries complicated by earthy, peppery and floral tones — 6 months ago

Château d'Orignac

Pineau des Charentes

Delicious, amber colour. Quite sweet with apricot and dried fruit flavours. Fortified with Brandy rather than pure spirit. It was delicious and popular with the cheese course at my 60th birthday meal in the Captain's House in Lydd. — 9 days ago

El Rey Red Hills Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Red fruits on the nose with light oak, chocolates and vegetable notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, light oak, spices, vegetables, herbs, dark chocolates and black pepper.

Showing nice complexity and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food.

Will not get better from this point, though.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$45.

Got stuck in a corner of my cellar. But fresh and ripe apples, sone critic and orange tones. Very well ripened in 10 years. — 3 months ago

Cuvée du Rosier Coteaux du Loir Pineau d'Aunis 2022

My brother likes this, I don’t but will drink it because I’m a good sister! 😖 very light bodied, way too tannic, no fruit on the palate. I’ll open something else for the steak! — 9 months ago

'Perles Grises' Coteaux du Vendômois Pineau d'Aunis

A rose sparkler. Prodigious medium course bubbles. A bit of funk on the nose. The palate features tart underripe strawberries, cranberries, grapefruit, white pepper, with a bit of gunpowder appearing late. Medium plus acid, medium alcohol, bone dry, medium finish. — 10 months ago
