Our second chard that hasn't been buried in oak, I chose this based on the fact that I figured William Fevre would do justice to Chilean chardonnay grapes...and I was right. If ypu close your eyes this might be pegged as a Premier Cru burgundy. Excellent balance in terms of fruit and acidity, this is probably the best white we've had in Chile. — 10 years ago

Wow... Just, wow! This champagne has strength and finesse – words will never do it justice. Layers and layers of mineral, stone, flowers, vanilla, caramel, exotic fruit, and a richness that is hard to put into words, balanced by delicate acidity. What a great way to celebrate New Year's eve! — 10 years ago

Words can't do this justice! Thanks to the legend for sharing. — 12 years ago
@Ted Corvey Held onto it as long as I could. That's not to say I was saving it, but I just was waiting for the right time. Tonight was that time. I took refuge from the hordes playing Pokemon outside and cracked this bottle and poured a glass. Despite the deep purple robe, it doesn't even do the flavor justice. Humongous waves of plum, blackberry, and black cherry give way into cayenne with a hint of something I can't quite put my nose on. Huge tannins leave the palette simultaneously dry and salivating. It's a great wine, only deducted points because it's not my preferred style. Still, this is a wine to be respected. — 9 years ago
Oaky, smoky, blackberries and yumminess. Loved this, Rebelle has so many hidden gems in their wine list! — 10 years ago
What can be said about d'Yquem can only be expressed in poetry, even in a modest vintage like 1998. It is an inner sanctum, a fragrant garden, a poignant release that is both profound and glorious. Descriptors cannot do it justice, sensual and honey-drenched layers of apricots, vanilla bean, creme brûlée and almond pastry. Viscous and glycerol-laden in the mouth, offset by dazzling acidity, dried fruit—quince, more apricots. A silken, pure, honey-spun web of delight. I'm rambling, but d'Yquem does that. — 10 years ago

Silky smooth. The nose takes you into the vinyard... The taste is just divine. A perfect red burgundy. 1.5 hrs after opening still getting better and bigger. — 9 years ago
