This wine is outstanding! Amazing. Upon opening it was very floral, magnolia and rose, into a dried herbaceous dill, thyme, roasted green pepper and lemon pepper and citrus rind. On the palate, chewy tannin and alive with spritely acidity. Robust yet elegant. Reminds me muchly of what I've heard of Beautious haut medoc. With salt it softens to vanilla...with brine by turns leathery and with protein doth bring out the rusticality. So inspiring — 8 years ago
Refreshing, melon rose — 9 years ago
Still deep raspberry colour, though thinning towards the rim of the glass. Absolutely unmistakeable Bordeaux nose - rose petal, cedar box, leather, baking spice. Delicious fruit. Tannin well resolved. Drink now. — 11 years ago
What a beautiful wine! — 11 years ago
Easy drinking summer wine. And high QPR at that. — 11 years ago
Subtle, attractive with layered red berry fruit, touch of five spice and rose petal, sweet tobacco, touch of graphite, feminine, attractive. Lacks on the palate though, drinkable but lacking the definition that you get on the nose, finish does have some elegant red fruit but still too drying to make this really shine. — 12 years ago
Light crisp, good with food! Love it! Good with fish. — 12 years ago
Smooth not sweet rose. Great with BBQ. A bit tart. — 13 years ago
Really a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. You know that a flower was named after this wine? The Rose Demoiselles de Larrivet Haut Brion. How cool is that? — 8 years ago
Brown sugar sorrel and blueberry hint of wet leather, taste is hydrangea with rose hips and fruit but non descript — 8 years ago

Why is everyone sad that Copain sold to KJ? I predict that the prices will be better and the quality will be more consistent. Don't make me remind you of the 2015 rose which was completely reductive to the point that I had to send cases back to the distributor. It didn't even blow off after 2 days! Anyways, this is a good bottle. When these are too young, they taste like warhead candy, but with just a few years on them, they taste like perfect black berries that just now became ripe. Also, Ray blind tasted me on this and I called it down to the producer. — 10 years ago

Nice French Rose find at the Rind. New Year's Eve 2013. Very nice...not sweet :-) — 13 years ago
We are together again sharing the 2009 Château La Tour Carnet on this Sunday night. A beautifully blended Bordeaux 62% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose there is black and red fruit, blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, black currant, chocolate, licorice, rose petal, graphite and earth.
The palate reveals wonderfully full dark fruit, blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, black currant, green bell pepper, mint, graphite and a mellow toasted vanilla.
This enjoyable medium to full bodied wine is smooth with a velvety mouth feel, a medium + acidity and medium + rounded tannins that lead to a long gratifying finish. What a way to start the new week with a gorgeous 2009 vintage wine from Bordeaux. This vintage continues to rock. And the wine is highly accessible now but can be cellared for another 5-8 years. Have a great coming week and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 8 years ago

Napa rose ran out of the Tokaji so we got this for desert instead. Our server apologized. Ha ha ha ha! The Tokaji couldn't possibly be this good. #naparose #winecountry — 11 years ago
What a beautiful nose! Beautiful sweet cherry, white chocolate with eucalyptus and rose petal, gravel, and a touch of pencil lead with an underlying aroma of sweet cream (like the cream in stuffed French toast). Flavorful and expansive with ripe plum and sweet mouth-coating tannins. Lovely Pauillac. — 12 years ago
Nearly as good as Puech Haut. — 12 years ago

Chapoutier never disappoints. Nice and light. Raspberry on the nose and palate. Falls off on the finish. Made for hot summer days. — 13 years ago

Breezy meaty hibiscus smell, with some rose as well, a flat purple color that is pretty thick but not inky, taste is woody and the fruit has sugar but is kind of falling into the woodiness of it, tannins are quite heavy and sits atop the acids that are quite present as well, the fruit is blackberry, blueberry and slight boysenberry. Taste sits but then fades at a medium rate — 7 years ago
