The last of these 12's. Was getting nervous it could be close to post peak but.....wow! Intense, balanced, complex acidity, oak, fruit. A wine that makes you consider qualities of Burg and Rhone tho this btl perhaps not AS MUCH as the last. Very old world in nature. Could hv waited but very happy to hv enjoyed it and shared. I am really enjoying this cab blend. So well balanced with about 1/2 cab, 30% garnacha and the balance samso. So nice to be able to enjoy the harmony with a reasonable 14.5% alcohol level. Don’t get me wrong, I like massive cabs too but not every time I pop a cork. My sincere appreciation to Will Burkholder for introducing this Spanish beauty to me!! — 8 years ago
