Primarily Merlot (includes 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) Red Bordeaux Blend. Much better than the 2015 Vintage. Ripe black fruit and plum aromas and flavors. Hints of balsamic vinegar with just a touch of barnyard funk. Full bodied, rich and complex. The tannins, however, are incredibly soft. Great QPR for a Grand Cru Bordeaux Blend. Stunning! Shared at luncheon hosted by Château de Lescours on 4/9/16. Beautifully harmonious, balanced, fully mature but not over the hill. Rich mouth-feel, almost chewy (in a good way). — 9 years ago
Leather, truffle, cinnamon, and plum. Dark, earthy and smooth. — a year ago
Beautiful.
Aroma is pungent. Smoothed tannins after an hour of being open. Everything a Saint-Emilion should be. Will be even better in a couple more years. — 6 years ago
