We want the funk! A fantastic example of how a judicious touch of brett is the best seasoning for Syrah...and how too much of it makes Syrah smell like donkey ass. Really a perfect wine, for what it is. — 6 years ago
Vintage 2003 - 15 y old #pinotnoir that is very alive and kicking, with a smell of red fruit and stable. #sancerre from a rich year! Refined. Partnered with braised calf cheek. -At Meesters in wijn Maastricht — 7 years ago
Almost identical to Amayna from Chile, with a dry touch. Easy to enjoy. — 8 years ago

Great mouth feel. Medium body. Easy to drink. Would pair well with food. — 6 years ago
Best bang for buck by far, I love this. Had the 2013 very nice and easy to drink — 7 years ago
Honeyed nose, with peach, apricot, citrus, wet stones, subtle oak and med acid. Oak comes through more on the palate, but isn't intrusive. Nutty, medium bodied, waxy and round in the mouth. Intriguing wine.. ABV a bit up there for me, 14%, but balanced. I'm a fan. BBQ pork loin working well. — 8 years ago
So much energy and intensity. Too young to drink now, but a long life ahead of it. — 8 years ago
BA Lounge. Maybe it's the excitement, but this is the perfect balance of fruit and dry.

Floral bouquet and very young raspberry and black cherry immediately hit you after pouring this one into the glass. Immediately you know that you have committed infanticide. As you are contemplating what to do, you are Sinister hand pours a glass of this for you to get a nice with this one on a more personal level. Boysenberry, black fruit, a little bit gamey. Yet, a little bit youthful and floral. What the hell is going on here!? The Sinister hand forces this one to your mouth, to enjoy an immense pallet of black cherry, wild berry pie. The middle of this one dries to a dehydrated red fruit character. Finishes long, with the perfect pairing being leftover Halloween candy from your 4 year old who already forgot she went trick-or-treating this year. So good on so many levels, and this one is still insanely tannic. I give it another 10 or 15 years easily. I would say this is the most immense wine in the Calais lineup other than the Gravitas. Still drank insanely well. — 7 years ago
A Monday evening wine : we declared the kitchen to be finished with this lovely red from one of my favorite Burgundy appellations. — 8 years ago
Must be open for at least an hour. Freeze dried strawberries, sweet car exhaust (not kidding here), and pine. Alcohol also shows. Simple yet brooding palette of fresh dark fruit. Super fine tannins grip and hold you through the long finish. I think this wine is just past peak but it was a good value. — 8 years ago
This was unbelievable! My wife and I were simply stunned at the beautifully nuanced Pinot Noir grapes. Easily one of my favorite champagnes in a long time (MV09) — 9 years ago

Drank half the bottle on its own while making breakfast and then added a splash of freshly squeezed tangerine juice for brunch. Delicious! — 5 years ago
