After tasting the whole range from Argiolas you also realise how they got to this blend.
This is stunning, it absorbed 18 months of new oak easy.
Cannonau gives the freshness and the fruit with the carignan, the bovale donates the tannin and the floral shade and Malvasia Nera the aromatic.
Super velvety, fresh, complex and above all long.

Bright with tart cherries, high acidity and light body, very low tannin and dark chocolate with blueberries. Great with pizza and butternut squash and even curry. Fantastic every day wine — 7 years ago

Personally i found this the great surprise of the line up.
Mainly Bovale finished off with some cannonau and carignan.
9 months of new barrique which the wine digests incredibly well.
Nice fruit, but the floral that the Bovale gives to the wine truly fascinates me and keeps me interested during every sip. Spices too plus leather and tobacco.
Tannin that will get smoother, but is already enjoyable.
Long finish
Serious alternative for cabernet drinkers
It is not the Turriga, but honestly i did not remember its beauty. Very elegant — 10 months ago
Received from Italy - I enjoy Aglianico wines and this did not disappoint. — a year ago
Well structured and balanced, it displays an iconic ruby/garnet appearance, followed by secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruits and nuts, plus flavorsome balsamic nuances, and interesting red fruit undertones.
Overall, quite elegant and refined; medium bodied, with ample acidity, dusty tannins and a long, satisfying finish. If you’ve got it, now is the time. — a year ago

Gorgeous bottle of ruby red shades and intense aromatics featuring vanilla, spices, rose petals, and nuts. Quite complex. Great medium+ body and strong acidic structure but with a refined weight and balance, it’s not overpowering but has a lot of character. Really good lingering finish. — a year ago
Nose is heavy tobacco with some leather. Very dry. Gina said rawhide leather. Licorice finish. Dirty, funky and earthy…good! Lots of charcter. — 2 years ago

Nice Brunello and a real value at Wegmans’ price. Blackberry and stewed plum, cinnamon and leather, chewy tannins, juicy. Not too heavy. — 7 months ago
