Love this. Delicious dark fruits with some funk to go with them. — 5 years ago

Graphite, earthy red fruits Love it! — 7 years ago
2016. Really great wine. A bit young and will be great in 5+ years. Earthy woodsy nose, medium body, some dark fruit with mineral. Decant for at least 1 hour. — 8 years ago
I would usually hate this style but this is fantastic! — 9 years ago
Very nice wine. Tasting very good just after opening, hopefully will open up more as the evening goes. — 9 years ago
Another golden oldie — 5 years ago
This is beautiful. Apple, pear, honey, a creaminess, and just the perfect touch of sweetness. Awesome to taste the similarities and differences between vouvray and Jurassic Park chenin even if different sugar levels. — 7 years ago

1990 vintage. Quite exceptional, considering its age. Poached pears, burnt orange peel, over ripe nectarine, bruleed quince, over- steeped green tea, green almond, orange blossom water. Definitely very mature, but still has a great zing of acid and a very long finish. — 10 years ago
Easy drinking, well balanced, hardly any tannins — 5 years ago
From a lieu dit surrounded by Gevrey. Definitely young but with a couple hour decant quite enjoyable and accessible. Tons of sweet cherry on the nose; aromatically really quite intense. Full on the palate, get more tannin than I was expecting, but very nicely balanced by a lot of acid. Enjoyed it with a roast chicken provencal but could have stood up to red meat too. Nice qpr at ~$30. Note this is not the “cuvee unique”, which apparently a 100% new oak bottling - this is the regular which is 85% old. — 5 years ago
Jalapeño etc — 9 years ago
One of the wines I had in 2008 that made me fall in love with wine was a Côte du Rhone by JL Chave "Mon Coeur". It's been a long time since I had a Rhone wine, I got this from Kermit Lynch shop in Berkeley, Cali. Nice notes of pepper and spice, gamy, good tannins from Syrah. Another good find from Kermit... Try this with steak that has fat, you will love this wine! — 9 years ago
