Alsace in style. Great mid palette and strong finish — 8 years ago
Nose of ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, white & black pepper, soft, chalky minerals with light & dark fresh florals. On the palate, lean; blueberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, black licorice, soft baking spices; clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, powdery crushed rocks, leather, dry & fresh dark florals with understated white & black pepper. Clear. Crisp. Dry. Hints of golden apple & lemon. Perfect pairing with spicy Indian. — 8 years ago
Very Beaujolais-like. Lots of juicy pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry, and a bit of grape. Rose and violet potpourri, vintage lipstick, crushed oyster shell minerality. Bright, lifted, and very pretty with subtle chalky tannins. (This review is for the 2019 Iruai Shasta-Cascade) — 5 years ago
My favourite Pet Nat to date !! But what would I expect from BK Wines ... nose could almost be Apple strudel with custard ... crunch apple . Quite big bubbles , but long and very good — 6 years ago
Pale brilliant straw-yellow. Vibrant, incisive citrus fruit, floral and mineral aromas show outstanding clarity and a deeper pear note that emerges as the wine stretches out. A pure, sharply delineated example of Riesling, offering concentrated but nervy pink grapefruit, lime and green apple flavors along with hints of honeysuckle and green tea. Closes impressively long and precise, featuring resonating citrus zest and mineral notes and a touch of bitter quinine. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Feb 2018) — 7 years ago
Extremely interesting and juicy — 8 years ago
On the nose, extremely delicate & soft notes of citrus, fragrant flowers and soft minerality. On the palate, soft, lean lemon, lime juice, grapefruit, underripe green melon, citrus blossoms & beautiful soft minerals. The long finish is a lean but rich mellowed citrus. — 8 years ago
