Don PX Convento Selección Montilla-Moriles Pedro Ximénez 1964

Source shares that the fruit in this wine is so concentrated it takes an entire acre of it to make only one or two bottles of this. The glass I had fully confirms the statement to the best of my tasting capabilities. — 7 months ago

Pedro Ximenez de Añada 2014

Lovely coffee, praline, honey and liquid date and prune in great balance with considerable sweetness. It is just a bit shy of the acidity needed to carry the weight of this sweetness but a lovely wine that glides on the palate — 6 years ago

Descendientes de José Palacios

Villa de Corullon Bierzo Mencía 2022

Always fun to explore an indigenous varietal from Spain - especially when Alvaro Palacios is involved. I found this Mencia wine to be medium bodied with good acidity and structured tannins that were present in this young wine but not obnoxiously so. The fruit is darker dried red fruit that proved to be a good compliment with grilled shishito peppers. It was so nice to dive into a new aspect of Spain’s wine history. — 7 months ago

San Emilio PX Solera Reserva Sherry Pedro Ximénez 1896

NV | I am not thát fond about PX but this Lustau blew me away. Luscious smell, multi layered with dates and currants, very vibrant and elegant. It might be that the combination with an Italian chocolate cake, raspberries and berries contributed to my high appreciation. Happiness ☺️. Fantastic effort, very balanced — 4 years ago

Yang Yang ! Toasted Bitter almonds, hazelnuts, caramels, bitter dark chocolate, cedar but also mineral salty and flowers. Border line brandy that will please bourbons and whiskies drinkers alike…. Complex and fascinating ! Served chill and make sure no one bothers you for a while … A treat for serious #gozones … If you happen to smoke premium cigars, this is next level! — 4 years ago
