White label classic Barolo, anise, truffles and shrooms and Giacosa elegance all the way — 11 years ago
One of my favorite everyday wines — 12 years ago
What a bottle. It evolved over the 2-3 hours it lasted and if I had my way it would have lasted 30 minutes! Opened with more leather tones then a more nutty flavor with light fruit throughout. Very silky but hard to go wrong with giacosa. Easily last another 10-15 years. Great bottle! — 9 years ago

1985 Giacosa Collina Rionda di Serralunga Nebbiolo. Group lunch at Ner w Hrtn, McC. Raisiny and pruney at first. More sweet than I tend to like. But it def mellowed and lost some of that cloying sweetness after some time in the decanted. We only decanted right before drinking and it prob could have used more time opening up. When it did, it was excellent. — 8 years ago
