Very nice body, balanced acidity and minerality. Crisp but lush mouthfeel with very pleasant lingering finish. — 4 months ago
Appropriately elevated level of concentration and complexity for the TB Riserva. The structure is slightly ill defined but everything is there in harmony. — 3 years ago
Still one of my favorite Amarone producers of all time. Unfortunately the world seems to agree, and where I paid £50 a bottle 15 years ago, it now costs $52 a glass (albeit in Vegas). Check out the abv - 17%! You can tell on the nose, but the palate wins — 25 days ago
So delicious! Yes, high octane at 15% ABV. Yet this wine is balanced. It has a medium ruby hue with medium(+), concentrated notes of rose, both ripe and dried black cherries, red plum, purple fig, dried prune, raisin, red licorice, wet stones, clove, and sweet tobacco. Acidity is medium(+) and tannins are medium, ripe, and smooth. — 7 months ago

The 2018 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is darkly alluring, with a sweetly scented bouquet that blends medicinal cherries with sage, dried roses and baking chocolate. This is surprisingly juicy and lifted in feel, with zesty acidity motivating depths of ripe wild berry fruits as sweet spices collect toward the close. It finishes gently tannic, with a cranberry crunch that adds a lovely punctuation. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2024)

Grapes sourced from 2 vineyards, high altitude sandy souls in Vera d’Alba & Renesio Incisa cru in Canale. Originally called "Nebbiolo bianco" due to the shape of the bunch and the size of the berries similar to Nebbiolo, also known as white Barolo. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with honey notes. On the palate flavors of lemon, apple and herb character. Medium+ finish, lively acidity balance, ending with citrus and mineral character. Nice value! — 9 months ago
One of the most translucent wines I’ve seen. Color is very ripe. Soft and subtle. Very good wine — 4 years ago

So pretty outstanding for the $22 I paid. Clocking in at Napa-level 15.5% ABV, you can nonetheless discern the soil and fig notes. Beefy, satisfying wine at great CBR. From Lower Falls WS. — 14 days ago
