Solid zin. Well worth the money-$18. Calcareous makes some excellent stuff. — 3 years ago
Alsace Riesling flight, soul comparison. Prefer calcareous to granite, but think I still prefer Mosel! — 6 months ago
Fantastic balance of fruits and mocha and earth. Enough hint of tannins, not enough to overwhelm. Yummy! — a year ago
Tried this again, 1st bottle was a dud! Made by Michele d'Aprix, an American woman who studied organic chemistry in college and ended up in Bordeaux. Chemical equation on the label is the equation for calcareous clay soil in the right bank of Bordeaux giving a unique character. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and notes of cedar and spice. Palate shows flavors of blackberry & cherry with tobacco and pepper spice. Drying tannins, medium+ finish, nice balance ending with earthy herbs & black pepper notes. — 2 years ago
This is a very nice Grenache blend from Paso Robles, California.
Showing black and red fruits with chocolates, oak, light vanilla, spices, peppercorn, leather, tobacco, earth and green herbs.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate, nice and engaging.
High alcohol, but not noticeable. Easy to drink and enjoyable with food or by itself. Not too much "in your face" kind of wine. Spicy and gentle.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Blend of 37% Roussanne, 35% Grenache Blanc and 28% Viognier, pale to medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruits, blossoms and floral spice. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and citrus zest with notes of honeysuckle and perfume spice. Medium+ finish, nice mouthfeel, good balance with acidity ending with fruit, floral notes and wet mineral character, very nice! — a year ago
A Soave Classico cru. The vineyards in Casette Foscarin are situated to the north of the Soave Classico area. In calcareous soil of volcanic origin. Multiple passes through the vineyard for picking, soft pressing with low temperature maceration, and aging in barriques and tonneau for 6 months. The signature cherry blossom jumps out of the glass, CHERRY, CHERRY, CHERRY, stony minerality, hefty salinity, mushroom, dried herbs, cherry pith, yellow apricot, and Meyer lemon. Medium+ finish. Elevated acidity. — 2 years ago
2017 vintage. Always a pleasure to drink these wines from this top producer who vinifies all his vineyards seperately. Les Grands Champs is made from 30 - 45 years old vines, mainly calcareous soils. Very attractive nose with ripe white peach, lemon confit and a hint of fresh mint. Concentrated, with an exemplary purity of ripe white fruit, rich and fresh at the same time, profound and long. Biodynamically farmed. Another excellent wine from this producer! — 3 years ago
