Started out closed, and smelling like a lumber yard. But with an hour or so of air, its Oregon roots start to show. Still shows significant but high quality toasty oak, together with sappy cherry fruit and earthy/sweet spices. In the mouth it’s balanced, with loamy, ripe fruit, crushed gravel, and a bit of black tea. Good concentration and length. The tannins are very soft. — 3 years ago

Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, blossom and sweet spice, spending 20 months in new French oak, grapes grown mostly in alluvial sandy souls. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with notes of licorice, cacao and spice, savory. 2017 is 100% cab. Soft pepper and black currant o the nose. More currants, dark berries and warm spices finish off a good wine. Noted that when drank with a curry the spice finish is massively and positively enhanced versus non spicy food. — 6 years ago

Grapes sourced from 2 vineyards, high altitude sandy souls in Vera d’Alba & Renesio Incisa cru in Canale. Originally called "Nebbiolo bianco" due to the shape of the bunch and the size of the berries similar to Nebbiolo. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with herb notes. On the palate flavors of lemon, apple and herb character. Medium finish, lively acidity balance, ending with creamy citrus and mineral character. Nice value! — 4 years ago
