Complex and delicious chard. I don't taste even a hint of oak. Pure stone and orchard fruit, bright acidity, and the white minerally finish is delightful. — 7 years ago
This wine is so young. It has all the makings of a great Pinot but definitely needs time for the elements to gel. The oak is a sort of shroud over the whole thing but when it integrates over the next couple of years, this could be a special bottle of wine. — 8 years ago

Tropical notes and a touch of green bell pepper shines on this showing. Love it!!! — 7 years ago
Excellent expression but definitely needs some time to integrate the oak. This one will be really good in a year or so. — 8 years ago
Nice right away. Mild and smooth. — 9 years ago
As co-winemaker for this wine, I can say without a hint of bias, this is the best Pinot Gris in history -- maybe ever. Truly special. Everyone is talking about it. In fact, I’m petitioning Delectable to increase the highest rating to 11 just for this wine. It is really really spectacular. — 5 years ago

BlueBird Hill Cellars is a tiny winery located in Monroe, Oregon—one can find it navigating a series of winding, scenic backroads between Salem and Eugene, that wend their way to the foothills of the Coastal mountain range, their 2016 Duology is a blend of 55% Viognier and 45% Chardonnay that emits pear, white peach, white flowers, and coconut flake on the nose. The attack feels quite dry, but there is a subtle nuanced sweetness at the core, like tender peaches at the height of ripeness nicely balanced by nicely balanced by a mouthwatering burst of acidity that adds length to a gently meandering finish. — 7 years ago

At 10% alcohol--with I'm guessing 60+ g residuals--the last 9 years leave an impression that is both sweetly-floral and quenching. Not sweet enough to be sticky on the palette, this is akin to peach honeysuckle sherbet. If you're lucky to have one of these tucked away, enjoy it on a bluebird mountain day. — 8 years ago
