Semisweet. Like me.

This one was interesting. The sweetness was definitely present on the palate but there wasn't the cloying sensation on the back of the palate despite lower (med-) levels of acidity.

The nose is fairly closed but some petrol and flint were present. The palate is very mineral with a bit of lemon. The finish is moderate with a lemon rind flavour.

This is pretty good with spicy chicken wings which is awesome. Cheers!

Solid Old School New School!

This has oak. Oh yeah, definitely oak, but in a good way. With lemon and flint a nice malolactic mouthfeel. This is the perfect wine for those that like old school Chardonnay and need to take a wine to someone's house or someone who doesn't like old school but needs to bring a bottle to an old school lover's house. I need more of this. What a great wine day. BOOM!!

Solid performance!

This is a golden globe in my glass 😂 This Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is great value for money for under $20.

There is decent fruit with lemon and a bit of lime rind. Malolactic fermentation gives it a decent mouthfeel and acidity keeps it interesting. Good job Church Road!
