Blessed to have generous friends. '14 Montrachet started open and full bodied and actually got leaner and more focused with air. Had this wonderful menthol/flint, citrus/lemon thing going that was complemented by a honey/pineapple/ginger flavor, which reminded me of botrytis. After some searching, it sounds like Prieur enjoys a bit in his wines. Salty finish. Excellent stuff that has a ton of life left. — 3 years ago
A really lovely surprise from Beaune, this 1er cru is simply splendid and delicious, complex, rich, creamy, tropical and summer fruits, mineral, medium to full fat smooth body, superb acidity and long delicious finish. In a blind tasting would most probably mistake it to be a Meursault ;-) my score 90, drink to 2020 — 6 years ago
Amazing Volnay 1er Cru from Prieur. At 13 years, it has a good 5 more to go but even now, integrated and velvety mouth feel. Densely concentrated with much Berry and citrus (citrus?!). Shows a deep inky red color looking more like a brunello or Zin but indisputably an outstanding Cote de Beaune. — 6 years ago

Very solid Loire Sauvignon Blanc. Steep Hill Importer-I like their portfolio as seems to emphasize true to type varietals. Nothing flashy, just good ol fashioned terroir. — 3 years ago
On the nose: a touch of reduction to start that morphs into smoke, pure meyer lemon, lime, soft vanilla, and fantastic richness. On the palate, a touch of oaky bitterness, but excellent acidity, more meyer lemon, lime, loads of hi-toned mineral notes. Fnatastic density and good length. — 4 years ago

Выпито с А. Д. А. 14.10.23 у них дома. Очень достойное бургундское. Пино нуар был живоым, хотя и очень старым - 1990 года. — 7 months ago

Exciting young wine. Quite reductive on the nose initially- matchstick/rubber aromas. Opening up with floral nuances, peaches and hazelnuts. Lean texture with a bit of roundness around the edges. Wonderfully fresh, mineral Meursault that will age gracefully. — 6 years ago

Popped and poured; no formal notes. The 2020 “Grange le Duc” has some real Volnay sensibilities with lovely, elegant fruit and forest floor with a taut structure. This responded very well to air and I expect this will flesh out with some cellar time. Drinking well now with some patience and will continue to do so through 2030. — 6 months ago
