Dark fruit, but nimble. Daresay the 1899 is curvaceous for an Oregon Pinot Noir?! Made without electricity or modern equipment, Illahe has gone totally old school in finding out how the soul of wine shows with rustic techniques, like 50% whole cluster, native yeasts, and foot pedal bicycle pumps give a wine mysterious depths. Nice change from tangy/crisper I seek. Offers more fruit yet still crisp. And I've ridden my bicycle past the vineyard on a 90m ride - so I'm a little biased 😄 — 9 years ago

A delicious, affordable Vinsobres that easily holds its own against wines twice its cost/price point. A great representation of this northernmost aspect of of southern Rhone showing flowers, graphite and spices complimenting a mouthful of cherries unctuously drifting from one's lips to the throat before free falling home (sea, air & land; in my blood/hooyah!)... The pirate/cowboy/Viking returns home😉 — 10 years ago

Imagine. Bumping down a cobblestone street on a wrought iron bicycle. Thump, thump...thump.
Thrill seekers of the past called this kind of ride a Boneshaker. Your teeth rattled & your bones shook. You felt it.
This is our BONESHAKER. A full bodied Zin. With full-tilt flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate & vanilla. — 7 years ago
Golden yellow apple, bicycle tire, empty lager bottle, jasmine, brown pear, quince. Excellent acidity, rich slightly oily texture, off dry fruity finish. — 8 years ago
Tasting pink drink at lav! Rose from Corsica Sangiovese & Grenache was my favorite ! The nose reminded me of getting new bicycle tires- petrol notes/rubber , unripe fruit & salinity. — 9 years ago

For Zinfandel week, Bianchi took the cake. Berry mouth with a faint horseradish finish. Excellent pick! Would go best if drank whilst riding a tandem bicycle. Matthew agrees. — 7 years ago
