Argot "the distance" Bennett Valley 2009 (Syrah with touch of Grenache) stored under Coravin for six months… It shows how well Coravin can do. Fresh cracked pepper plush red skins fresh bacon fat hints of dark chocolate. I don't understand why Syrah is so difficult to sell when it is so easy to love. — 11 years ago

Continuing the Syrah kick. Pax Mahle working with Cardiac Hill fruit. The most northern rhone wine I've ever tasted out of CA, this could kill in a blind tasting. I'm now drinking it on day 3 and it's finally starting to come into a zone. It's still dry and austere, but with wonderful blue fruit underneath. This thing needs 10 years. — 10 years ago
