Very interesting wine. Lots of red ripe fruits and oak. Strong finish, but balanced. — 2 years ago
Excellent for the price. Approachable now. Violets and sour cherries, leather. — 3 years ago
Quite good, well worth the €15 at the supermarket. — 4 years ago
The Voerzio Capalot/Brunate 01 (mag) was the third WOTN for me. A perfect Voerzio expression. Hell of a nose and intensity/concentration. Much fresher and more vivid than a 09 I had last weekend. 01 seems to rock here again. Bright red stone fruit, dark roses and flowers, coffee bean, some mocha, tarry irony minerals. You kinda feel the old vines here. Wow. — 6 years ago
Easy drinking, nice finish. Good value — 10 months ago
Hint of peppermint on the nose rolls back to reveal wormwood and roses, chocolate ganache, rhubarb, and dried grapefruit peel. Velvety and complex, with peppercorn, red apple peel, cinnamon dust, dried rose petal, dried violet, and roobios tea.

Tasted from bottle with Roberto Conterno. Nice to compare the wine in Zalto glass vs the Zwiesel Glass that was designed to the wishes of Roberto Conterno.
This Monfortino is very structured, multi-layered and rich. High phenolic ripeness. Lots of nuances. And the good thing is that there are 20000 bottles, 3000 magnums and 500 double magnums. 98-100 — 6 years ago
Strawberry and grass on the nose. Big juicy red fruit on the palate, light tannins, easy drinker with a lot going on. 40$ at Paradise Grapevine. — a year ago

Beautiful citrusy palate with a nice finish. — 3 years ago
Nose is a bit ripe and tomatoey. Weird. Mint? Some dead leaves. New wood. Bleh. — 4 years ago
Made in collaboration with Roberto Conterno (Giacomo Conterno). Light, spicy.... tastes nothing like his Barolo if you were hoping it would 😂. — 5 years ago
