Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Love how subtle the Sauvignon Blanc characteristics are yet they are all there and delicious — 7 years ago

Château Rayas

Réservé Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blend 1989

What a phenomenal bottle! Could not believe just how rich and deep the flavors of red and purple fruits, baking spices and leather was - especially considering the age. Velvety tannins offered a sublime mouthfeel. Don't pass this up if you get a chance to taste it. — 7 years ago

Soos Creek

Stampede Pass Cabernet Franc

Lovely red for the price point. I believe the 2013 Cab franc would be a drinkable crowd pleaser if you need to take to a dinner party. Fruity and smooth, not entirely complex so easily liked by most palates. — 8 years ago

Triplebank

Awatere Valley Pinot Noir 2010

2010 is amazing. More recent vintages have not been up to this. Lots of experience with this label. Find the 2010 or older. '11 on has been a dramatically more pedestrian offering. — 9 years ago

Awatere River

Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Very balanced, juicy, bright. A little green bell pepper in the middle but very soft. Acid holds up to tomato cucumber salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. Fun and elegant — 9 years ago

The Pass Sauvignon Blanc 2017

For the money this is a gem, little sweet lacking some acidity but on a hot day I’d gladly drink this. — 7 years ago

Domenico Clerico

Aeroplanservaj Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

Went to a Private Equity tasting and tasted this and couple other vintages side by side. Ruby with a rich bouquet of fruit, earthy spice and hints of floral. The palate is big & chewy, with ripe cherry, leather, espresso & cacao, rich & robust. Savory finish with toasty oak notes, structured tight tannins. An excellent and enjoyable wine you should not pass up, if you can get one, but let it develop for another 10 years to unwind before popping the cork! Consistent quality. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

Greg Awatere Valley Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2015

A mild sauv blanc with a delightful flavour. Less acid than Kim or other SB from the region, but this is likely my new favourite Sauv. — 9 years ago
